High school student by day, by night an underworld company assassin. He has a taciturn personality and an eerie vibe, and his classmates hate him.

During their confusion, a woman by the name of Leonora arrives and tells them, “You are Hero Candidates summoned to defeat the Dark Lord. Please help us.”

Leonora bestows each of them with special abilities. Amidst powerful blessings like telekinesis and explosion, the blessing granted to Araki is Appraisal. It allows him to view the specs of his target, but, partially because he was already ostracized by his classmates, they mock him for having a skill that’s useless in combat.
